And update from on the ground in Pokhara
As one of our most valued supporters we wanted to share the most recent updates from the field.
Here’s what’s happening on the ground right now.
Despite unprecedented rainfall and associated power outages, construction of the priority buildings continues to move forward. One of the things we are most proud of is the care and attention to detail being taken for the build, to ensure every dollar will go as far as possible.

Quality Materials
A key defining factor of The Pokhara Project is the use of quality and durable materials in all aspects of construction. Site supervisors and technical engineers have been conducting visits to quarries and running laboratory testing on materials to ensure everything meets the standard we need — not just for now, but for the long term. Nepal experiences harsh weather conditions, and these buildings need to stand the test of time.

Site Infrastructure
For compliance, safety and efficiency of the build, much care has been given to site set up. This has included building a site office, which will operate as mission control for project coordination, communication and problem solving throughout the duration of the build.
We’ve also established an on-site concrete batching plant, which means we have an on-demand supply of high-quality concrete for the duration of the construction. For a site that’s difficult to access, that’s not a small thing—it significantly increases efficiency and reduces both risk and cost.

New School Foundations
The foundations of Building 5 — the first of the new 3 Angels Nepal school buildings — are now well underway. Levelling, excavation, soiling works, water compaction and concreting of the footings are being completed. These are the first physical steps toward what will become a place of learning, growth and safety for hundreds of children in the Pokhara region.
Every foundation laid is bringing us closer to something we’ve been working toward for a long time.
Let’s keep going, together
We’re still $350,000 short of completing the three priority buildings, and June 30 is just weeks away. If you’ve been thinking about giving, this is the moment it makes the most difference.
