The impact of a safe home: A place where children can heal
Every day in Nepal, the government turns to 3 Angels Nepal with the same request.
Can you take in one more child?
Children rescued from trafficking. Children fleeing violence. Children with nowhere else to go.
In a country where government run child facilities are scarce, and those specifically for children rescued from human trafficking are non-existent, it’s organisations like 3 Angels Nepal who are the only chance vulnerable children have for a safe future.
But right now, 3 Angels Nepal are at capacity.
The need doesn’t stop. The calls don’t stop. Yet every single day, 3 Angels Nepal have to weigh what they can give against what they have.
Every child who needs safety deserves to hear the answer: yes.
The three priority buildings currently under construction at The Pokhara Project include a new Vulnerable Children’s home that will provide safety, support and opportunity for 30 children.
We need your help to close the $350,000 gap on this first phase of construction, so 3 Angels Nepal can say yes to the children with nowhere else to go.

Yogesh’s story
Yogesh was three years old when a serious accident left him burned from head to toe. For the next year, he and his mother made the two-hour walk to hospital every other day to have his wounds dressed.
Then their home burned down too.
With nowhere to go, Yogesh and his family moved to the streets. Life became desperate for the young family.
Then one day, Yogesh’s mother had a chance encounter with Rajendra Gautam, founder of 3 Angels Nepal, and Yogesh was offered a place at the 3 Angels Nepal children’s homes.

“That encounter changed my life” Yogesh says.
“The staff and carers were very supportive. They helped us with homework and learning and studying….the support I received helped me become who I am today.”
Today, Yogesh is the Vulnerable Children’s Homes Program Manager at 3 Angels Nepal.
The child who once had nowhere to go now helps vulnerable children find the same safety, care and opportunity that transformed his own life.
“More than food, shelter and education, it’s the love and care they receive. That is what I want to ensure for every child under my care. It gives me joy to see the smiles on their faces as they begin to recover.”
For children arriving at The Pokhara Project in the years ahead, that same journey begins with something simple:
A safe place to call home.
A place where children can heal
Positioned outside the city, The Pokhara Project children’s homes will give children something that’s easy to take for granted in Australia but hard to find in a city like Pokhara: safe, open green space to simply play.
Away from the hustle of town, with the protection of anonymity and security, children will have the freedom to just be kids.
That freedom matters more than it might sound.
Play, belonging, and a family environment aren’t extras, they’re how children heal from trauma. They restore confidence, build connection, and create the physical and psychological safety that survivors need to move forward.
These homes are far more than brick and mortar.
They are where recovery begins.
Construction has already begun. But we need your help to keep it moving.
Your gift before June 30 will help complete the first phase of construction and create space for 30 children who need safety, care and a chance to rebuild their lives.
If you can, please give today.
